Morgan accused of passing three counterfeit bank bills to William S. Robertson, 2 purporting to be of the Farmers Bank of Kentucky & 1 purporting to be of the State Bank of Indiana. At one point, Morgan failed to show up for court, later explaining his absence as having been sick & also charged by State of NC with assault with intent to kill, for which he was arrested. Judgment entered against Morgan & his securities, Joseph Divine & Thomas Hensley, on $1500 recognizance bond, from which they appealed.
