Robert Goodlett died in September of 1857. His widow, Louisa Goodlett and their nine children, Mary Fanny, John W. Adam, Rebecca, Ann Eliza, Robert, Donald D. Ida, and Alphonse G. In 1856 William G. M. Campbell sold Robert Goodlett 27 acres of land. A deed was executed, but it was suspect, & at the time of the suit was not proven to be legitimate. The suit was filed to enforce the claim to either the land and deed, or its value for the benefit of the heirs.
