Poston, et al. were accused of constructing obstructions in a bordering stream that would cause water to flow through Copeland's property when it rained. Copeland accused Poston of trespass and sued to recover damages.

Collins sued Foshee and several other defendants for trespass and damages of $40,000 for taking and converting to their own use Collins' personal property, including: horses, mules, hogs, bushels of corn, wheat, hay, cattle, sheep, etc. Collins also suing for being maliciously forced out of his house, destroying his farm houses and other property while def'ts occupied them as camping grounds. Suit began in 1865.

Mrs. Martin is sometimes referred to as Ann Martin or Anna Martin; her husband is T. F. Martin. Plaintiffs accuse the railroad company of parking train cars on the track in front of their home and business for days at a time, hindering travel, blocking access to their business, shutting out light and air, making it impossible to find and keep tenants, and lowering the value of their property.

Pickerns trespassed on Delozier's property with force of arms and caused damage of upwards of $500.

The plaintiff claims that the defendant removed railings from said fence to construct his own fence. Partial record. Transcript of the record. "Appeal prayed at October Term, 1857." "A plea of trespass on the case by throwing down a fence and turning out his meadow & wheat field to the public to his damage fifty dollars."

Declaration of trespass. Judgment passed for $22,500. This case could be related to case in ET Box 1163: William A. Gamble v. William L. Brown et al. One of the other Def. is Abijah Boggiss, but case is dated 10 yrs later in 1866.

Defendant was Anderson County constable. Unclear, but case appears to be dispute over a bay mare seized by defendant in execution of judgment against plaintiff in debt case brought by Allen Hurst. At some point, plaintiff died & document from 1870 in file names Fleming McCoy admr. of the estate.

sued for damages in the sum of $5,000. Plaintiff's case was judged to be worth damages in the sum of $1,500.

Plaintiff in error is accused of entering into a contract with the defendant in error to sell and deliver 200 barrels of superfine flour at the cost of $6.00 per barrel and then failing to deliver.

Additional defendants: Barnibas Rice, Benjamin Cluck, and George W. Welling. Plaintiff claims he was unlawfully arrested and imprisoned for 8 months by the defendants who were soldiers in the Confederate Army. Plaintiff also claims he was forced to join the Confederate Army. The documents contain the testimony of Samuel A. Bell who commanded the squad that arrested Kimbrough. Bell notes he was operating under the orders of Col. E. D. Blake.

Plft. asserted dfnt. took and detained one of his horses.

Seeking Damages.

The Defendant buried a slave in the Plaintiff's family graveyard. Damages at $1000.

Alexander Haun Jr. sues by next friend Alexander Haun, Sr. for trespass, assault and battery, and false imprisonment against Pleasant A. Witt. sued for damage in the sum of $3,000.
