Apparently, Roberson claimed Langford owed him a debt & he prosecuted Langford for passing a counterfeit bill in order to make Langford pay the debt. |

Harrison said Absalom wrongfully caused Paschal Burum to sue her in Chancery Court, claiming title to land Paschal had deeded to Harrison 25 years ago (which Harrison had possessed since then), asking for $1,000 damages. Absalom said he was acting as Paschal's attorney in that suit. Court ruled in Burum's favor & dismissed suit, based on Harrison's failure to aver either that the Chancery suit had yet ended or that it was prosecuted maliciously. Nor was it sustainable as action for slander of title. |

Plaintiff was taken from the streets in full view by the Sheriff and made to pay a $500 bond, was tried and found not guilty by a jury, but lost clients as a result. Plaintiff sued for damages in the sum of $25,000. |
