Original cause was action by defendant Kennedy, damages of $25,000 as result of incident of 1 Sept. 1913 in which defendant was struck by streetcar at the intersection of Florida St. & Gage Ave., Memphis. Multiple serious injuries sustained by defendant Kennedy. Court decision was appealed to the Court of Civil Appeals. Railway filed motion for certiorari seeking to overrule and disallow certain assignments of error.

Original action involved plea for damages of $5,000.00 by defendant Miller, who was injured while employed by the Memphis Compress Co., incident of 12 Nov. 1913. Settlement of $750.00. Court decision appealed to the Tennessee Supreme Court, Jackson. Petition for certiorari filed 1915 by Memphis Cotton Press and Storage Co. asking for review of assignment of error. Two folders.
