John Armstrong gave Robertson a military land grant in 1784 for 5,756 acres. Armstrong died intestate with no heirs other than his brothers Martin in Tennessee, & Thomas in Ulster, Ireland. Matthew Brooks was named admr. of the estate. At his death, Armstrong owed William Lewis money, and Lewis sued the estate to recover. The land was sold to multiple parties including Campbell for the debt. Robertson sued to recover his land. Cause of Action; scire facias, fi fa, Venditioni exponas. |

Francis Wright died in 1807 in Rutherford County. His will stated that the defendants were entitled to the entire estate. Nancy Elmar was Francis' widow, who refused her duties as executrix, so that Jacob Wright Ramsey took over. He sold items and land contrary to the wishes of the will, so the heirs sued. |

Boyd, for himself & as agent for Elijah Flack, James Brckin,Hennekin Harris agreed to sell Richard Myrick 750 acres of their land for $1k. Myrick made partial payment then died. Myrick "mortgaged" an enslaved woman allowing Boyd to use her until the debt was recovered. She had a child. The suit was filed to settle the debt, & therefore the estate. |

Garner's household property was mortgaged and a detailed inventory is contained in the brief, including lengths of cherry board & unfinished furniture. Harper & Stout filed an injunction to prevent collection of the $70 debt. |
