Additional Plaintiffs: Joshua Good, Levi Phillips, Emsley Jeffers, L. B. Good, John Rosser, William Sharp, Joseph Griffith, and John Cross. Add. Defendants: Bailey and William Buttram. The plaintiffs were the sureties for the prior Scott County tax collector, John Thompson, and the current Riley Long. They claim that Long, who was charged with recovering taxes that Thompson defaulted on, had collected more than the balance owed by the surieties and prior judgments against them should be set aside.
