Fritts sued Huff for taking & detaining his 5-year-old iron gray horse mule. Jury ruled in Fritts' favor & awarded him $2 for such detention. Witness John H. Eldridge said he was returning from the post office & passed Carter's Mill when Fritts rode up & then Frnak Waddell came by riding a mule branded "U.S. & J.C." After some conversation (including a look at the mule's papers), Fritt traded with Waddell for the mule. Mule later taken. Fritts' dad John Fritts also testified. |
