Isaac Cole died in 1867 leaving 600 acres valued at $5-6k. His heirs contest the line of inheritance, his son Wm P Cole and A. S. Deen sued to have the land partitioned for sale. Cole purchased land, as did other heirs, but were unable to pay on the purchase. This suit seeks to settle the debts and distribution of the land left by Isaac Cole. |

A. J. Clark was visiting from Iowa and decided to sell his carriage and horses to Ferguson and return to Iowa on train. Ferguson later attempted to pay the note in Confederate money. Clark's agent initially refused the Confederate money but was pressured by threats to accept. Clark is now suing Ferguson for the note due. |

Sarah Webb is the mother of the defendant and agreed to rent the land to the defendant to raise corn. Sarah Webb died and the plaintiff allowed the defendant to continue cultivating the crop. When the plaintiff demanded payment, the defendant refused. |
