Dfnt. testified he went to Pilcher's to discuss water and profits of a whiskey still. Dfnt. swore Pilcher shot at him first, and he only shot back in self-defense. Testified Pilcher shot twice, and he only shot once. |

Turner was accused of larceny in the theft of a blue coon dog. The prosecutor and principal witness for the state, Lev Daniels, reported his two dogs stolen after a family trip out of town. After seeking council from a fortune teller, who told him his dog was in Ark., Daniels went to dfnt's residence in Ark. and found the hound. Turner was willing to part with the dog if Daniels repaid the purchase price. A week after the deal was complete, Turner was arrested for theft. |
