Plaintiff appealing case where he was convicted of unlawfully transporting liquor. Plaintiff, and African American young man, was convicted of transporting whiskey in a suitcase on a train. However, he argues that he was given the suitcase, by a African American soldier, and plaintiff did not know what was inside. Plaintiff arguing that his African American race gives credibility to a white witness, only due to race.
