In order to secure a large debt to merchants located in Baltimore, Maryland, the plaintiff conveyed in trust to the defendant, a store of goods and a tract of land. Plaintiff complains that the conveyance was actually a mortgage and that he was entitled to any remaining money and unsold land after his debts were paid.
