Whiteside, Ella McGavock, more+ In 1847 David McGavock conveyed to the NHS a parcel of land for $1,100 for the purpose of a garden for stockholders. After 70 years it reverted back. Located near the McGavock Plan north of Nashville, the land was eventually used as a dance and beer hall. Plaintiffs were heirs and sued to recover the land after 70 years.
