Charles and Elizabeth, his mother, were exe. Of will of John Greene, dec. In previous case, judgment had been rendered in favor of Jobe and against plaintiffs for $411.46. Plaintiffs had paid $321.74 and paid balance sometime later. Jobe issued for whole execution at first, then remembered later that $321.74 was paid, but still wanting the rest of the judgment. Plaintiffs seek stay of execution, charging that they had paid balance.

Plaintiff is sued for a plea of damages in the sum of $20 for the defendant taking from him a gun.

Hartman sued Carson for trespass to his damage $25,000. During the late war, Hartman was loyal to the Union and Carson was a Confederate. Carson refused to give him a certificate of exemption from the rebel army and caused Hartman to be arrested and imprisoned for 5-6 months. Hartman was also compelled to stay from his home for 2 years after his escape from the rebel army and prison. Court ruled in favor of plaintiff for $550.

Wheeler and Wilson Man. Co. was seeking to have a sewing machine returned to the company.

Kermit Graybeal, a minor, sues by his next friend for $10,000 in damages for personal injuries he sustained while unlawfully working for the company and being put to work on a dangerous and unsafe machine. Kermit was injured when the rip saw machine threw a sharp pointed board toward him which struck him in the abdomen…it cut into his body and caused damage to his intestines.

B.L. Ledford is sued Johnson City Foundry and Machine Co. for Worker's Compensation benefits due to an injury to his right hand, arm, shoulder, spine and other parts of his body. He seeks $5.00 a week for 550 weeks. See ET 951 for additional part of case.

Plaintiff filed this case to recover a debt from defendant, which was in the form of an unpaid note.

Plaintiff sued for $25,000 damages. Charges that on 29 Nov. 1934 as he was returning to his home at Tusculum College after attending a football game in Bristol, VA, the car that he was driving was struck by a car driven by Mrs. Bragg. Plaintiff, an instructor at Tusculum, alleges that he suffered serious & permanent injuries & that deft. was driving recklessly. Plaintiff's wife, Mrs. Mary Wilson Gray & a Mrs. Clemmons also passengers in his car. Mrs. Bragg a nurse at National Soldiers Home.

In 1931 Range Motor Company sold to Pearl and D. L. McQueen a Plymouth sedan on condition of full payment. C. I. T. Corporation financed the sale, and it repossessed the car when contract obligations were not met. The auto was to be auctioned. Exhibits include a photograph of the Holston National Bank and a tattered calendar page for December 1931.

Brown, a traveling salesman who worked for Armour & Co, was on sidewalk in front of gas station on corner of Market & Watauga Ave in Johnson City when one of Def's trucks, while driving on Watauga, drove over curb & struck Brown, injuring him.
