After the death of Amanda's husband, her daughter and son-in-law asked to move in with her and she allowed them to do so. Amanda stated that Maupin's treatment of her became so bad over time that she was forced to flee from her own home. She also accused him of cutting and selling timber from her land without permission and misusing her stock. She asked that the court eject Maupin. |
