Additional Defendants: John James and A. Wheless.

Plaintiff and defendant owned adjoining farms separated by a fence running north and south. The two parties made an agreement to each care for a designated section of said fence. Plaintiff complained that as a result of the defendant's failure to maintain her section of the fence, her horses crossed into his property and destroyed 40 bushels of corn. Plaintiff sued for damages.

John Payne, Isham Perkins and John Cain had bond on January 4, 1832 which was sealed and given to George R. Smart to be sent to Governor Carroll. Carroll went out of office and was succeeded by Newton Cannon. John Payne was to be collector of public and private taxes of Warren County. However, it was charged that he did not pay over to the state the said collected taxes.

Plaintiff in error, also known as Bush Settle and Bushrod (?) Settle, along with John B. Smith is accused of taking several suits, pocket knives, handkerchiefs, boots, stamps, scissors, a watch, jewelry and shoes from a store owned by N. G. Maddox.

This case deals with debt that was due on two notes. There was a horse who was sold and the plaintiffs believe that they are entitled to the money from the horse in order to settled the debts.

Court orders James and Robert Hodge to pay money owed to Christopher Porter. Although both Hodges are named Robert is responsible for payment of debt.

Jennings sued Henegar, accusing him of slander. He sued for ten thousand dollars for calling Jennings a forger. Jennings forged a receipt for $50 on Henegar. The event occurred during the Civil War. In the proceedings Henagar is accused of being a bushwhacker and spy for Federal Army.
